Default Processing potatoes for soup

Ello all,

I have just bought a food processor, (Cuisinart MP14NU) and would like to start making soups, time is at a premium which is why I bought it. There is a warning that if you try to puree potatoes for soup they will develop a gluey texture if the metal choping blade is used but it gives no alternative. It does say to use the whisk attachment for mashed potatoes.

What should I do?

Sorry if I appear a total dodo.

Phil

I've never noticed this with mine. I have pureed potatoes for potato dumplings and never noticed anything unusual.
