Drizzle a little olive oil (just a tiny bit) and add a bit salt on them and put them in the oven. They will be great!

Bake them in the oven, but they won't be quite as good!

Cut the chips chunky style, par boil, drain very well and dry on paper towel, place into a preheated hot oven and a preheated pan with a little olive oil, some salt and finely chopped rosemary, stir to coat evenly and cook until golden brown.

Short answer: No.

Chips are unhealthy. If you do anything other than deep fry chipped potatoes in oil, or better still, beef dripping, you don't really have chips.

Any method involving the oven results in passable sliced, baked potato pieces, but not chips.

Maybe the answer is to infrequently eat proper chips, made in the proper way?

Are some oils better than others (health-wise) for frying chips or is the difference negligable?
